
It’s an especially fun game to play with family and friends. Perhaps as an after dinner treat. It’s actually a meditative exercise because it calms the mind by getting one more acutely tuned into one’s senses, and that sure makes a lot of sense to me!

Even though school may be starting summer hasn’t ended yet. In fact, it’s hanging around until September 20th. So let’s get outside and enjoy the summer sun while we can.

Buckle up. It’s going to be a bumpy ride. A swirl of political activity will be bombarding us over these next few months. It could become (if it’s not already for you) confusing, emotionally charged, combative.

Why is it important to meditate? There are so many great reasons why meditation can be helpful. Here’s one for starters – it calms the busy mind so things can be seen more accurately. When this happens wise decisions become easier to make.

I’ve always loved libraries and as I’ve gotten older I love them even more. I used to teach in colleges and currently I’m teaching in libraries. My home away from home now happens to be the exquisitely charming Burlington Public Library.

Spring is here and that means Farmers Markets are too! And what’s the perfect vegetable to pick at a Farmers Market in May? I’ll give you a hint – it begins with an “A.” That’s right – Asparagus! It’s one of the first crops of the season. And it’s got quite a history too.

In 2013, in collaboration with the College of DuPage Foundation, The Budilovsky Literary Endowed Scholarship was formed. This Financial Scholarship is awarded each semester to a College of DuPage student who demonstrates significant literary potential. It will continue to be awarded to talented student writers in perpetuity for generations to come.
